The Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing the human resource management, property usage, development of the curricular activities, and facilities of the Al-Andalus International School. The Board is composed of professionals and prominent Filipino Expatriates residing in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Ed Malagapo
Dr. Malagapo is the Chairman of the Board and has been in the school ever since it was founded in 1994. He is the alter ego of the school’s Sponsor, Prince Bandar Al-Saud Al-Kabeer, a member of the Ruling Family. He has four doctorate degrees and he has been a professor in universities in Bahrain, and dean of the PCU Graduate Program Middle East. He is an entrepreneur with 5 companies under his watch, namely, PCU Graduate Program ME, JAS Empire Recruitment Agency, REEM Management Consultancy Services, Malagapo Industrial Sales & Consultancy Services, and a partner of EMJ Management Consultancy Services.
Dr. Jose Avancena
Dr. Avancena is in charge of the Administrative activities of the school. He is a journalist and consultant in media publication. He is a former Bureau Chief of Saudi Gazette and Editor-in-Chief of the Business Commerce publication. He is also a partner of EMJ Management Consultancy Services and a faculty member of PCU Graduate Program ME.
Engr. Murry Demdam
Engr. Demdam is responsible for the planning and development of the school buildings and facilities. He is a multi-awarded professional in the area of Mechanical Engineering and the current COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Alkhawari Establishment. He is also a partner of EMJ Management Consultancy Services and a partner of a manpower recruitment agency based in the Philippines.
Mrs. Joyce Malagapo
Mrs. Joyce Malagapo has been with the school ever since it started operating. She is an Accountant by profession and she is also assigned in the financial activities of the school. She is currently the school’s Comptroller. She is a board member of JAS Empire Recruitment Agency and a partner of EMJ Management Consultancy Services.
