The Al-Andalus International School admits students of any race, color, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin in administration of our educational policies, admission policies, and other school-administered programs.
We are open to all children, on a space-available basis within each grade. We do not discriminate on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, disability, proficiency, or any other basis prohibited by law. Despite the fact that majority of our students are Filipinos, we have admitted qualified non-Filipino students. In fact, one-third of the current students enrolled are of different nationalities.
There are no admission requirements, and no tests of any sort are given to determine whether or not admission is granted, although proficiency tests are used to determine the grade level of incoming preparatory, grade 1, junior, and senior high school students before they enroll. Proficiency tests are also given to all new students of other grade levels to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the new students.
A prospective AAIS student should:
– Be concerned of the well-being of others
– Respect the dignity of others
– Not discriminate on the basis of race or national/ethnic origin
– Show respect to authorities
– Demonstrate his/her ability to achieve academically
– Value his/her studies
– Actively participate in the school community
